Has Byetta Been Recalled?

Despite many calls to action from public consumer groups, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has so far declined to require a recall of the drug Byetta.

What Are the Risks of Byetta?

Byetta is an injectable medicine prescribed to control the high blood sugar in millions of diabetic patients. However, medical research has shown that Byetta increases a person’s risks of the following dangerous medical conditions:

  • Pancreatitis;
  • Kidney failure;

GM Continues to Recall More Vehicles for New Issues

The General Motors recall announcements just keep coming. Earlier in June, the automotive giant issued a recall of an additional 89,000 cars of various types due to potentially dangerous issues separate from the widely-known ignition switch recall.

Lawyers Request Consolidation of GM Lawsuits

Attorneys for GM and for plaintiffs injured by alleged defects in GM cars have made requests to the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation that the cases be consolidated and centralized before a single judge.

GlaxoSmithKline to Pay $105 Million Settlement

GlaxoSmithKline paying 105 million dollar fine over false marketing claimsGlaxoSmithKline, a London-based pharmaceutical company, agreed to pay a $105 million settlement to 44 states and the District of Columbia. $650 Million Settlement in Pradaxa Lawsuit

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., manufacturer of Pradaxa, has agreed to pay $650 million to settle Pradaxa lawsuits filed on behalf of approximately 4,000 injured plaintiffs.
