GM Details Plan for Compensation Fund for Victims of Defective Ignition Switches

Late last month General Motors announced its compensation plan that will offer payments to victims who were in an accident in which the air bag failed to deploy as a result of a defective ignition switch. The fund may also offer compensation to victims who previously accepted out-of-court settlements that occurred prior to the recall.

FDA Says Testosterone Products Should Warn About Risk of Venous Blood Clots

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a statement that all testosterone therapy products on the market must include a warning label about the general risk of blood clotting in the veins.

US FDA warns that use of lidocaine in small children can lead to health issuesThe Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced that manufacturers of oral viscous lidocaine will be required to have a “Boxed Warning,” which is the strongest level of warnings the FDA may require. SSRI antidepressants linked to premature birthA recent study shows that women who take antidepressants during pregnancy are more likely to deliver their babies prematurely. Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Prasco, LLC have partnered to introduce an authorized generic version of Testim, a drug for testosterone therapy. Testim is a drug prescribed to treat adult men who suffer from no or low testosterone, also known as Low-T.
