Are the birth control pills Beyaz and Yaz dangerous? That’s a tricky question, according to the National Research Center for Women and Families.
An article by three staffers at the center, including two PhDs, makes the point that a relatively low number of women taking the oral contraceptives containing the synthetic hormone drospirenone – which include Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella, Beyaz – suffer a potentially fatal blood clot as a result.
