Mr. Lopez also plays an integral role in the firm’s pharmaceutical and medical device mass tort practice. He has represented and helped achieve recoveries on behalf of hundreds of patients who have been injured by defective drugs and medical devices. In 2017, Mr. Lopez was appointed Co-Lead/Liaison Counsel for all plaintiffs in a California state court coordination in Alameda County involving Cordis IVC (inferior vena cava) Filters (JCCP No. 4977).

In 2003, Matthew Ramon Lopez graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance, and a minor degree in Biological Sciences. In 2008, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law.

Mr. Lopez is admitted to practice before all the courts of the State of California, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California, the U.S. District Court for Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA). Mr. Lopez has been listed by Thomas Reuters’ Super Lawyers publication as a Super Lawyers Rising Star each year since 2013 and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for mass tort litigation and class actions since 2018.

Matt is from Newport Beach, California. His personal interests include the outdoors, sports, good music, and good food. Above all, Matt enjoys spending his spare time with his wonderful wife and colleague, Amorina, and their two sons.
