Lopez McHugh is pleased to announce that attorney Regina Sharlow Johnson will be a faculty member and speaker at the Mass Torts Judicial Forum this spring. On Friday April 17, 2015, HB Litigation conferences will host the Mass Torts Judicial Forum with retired Judge Honorable Maria Corodemus where attorney Johnson will be a presenter. The topic of her discussion has yet to be announced.
The event is designed to provide a balanced forum, with distinguished lawyers from both leading plaintiff and defense firms. Several judges will also be included in the faculty for the forum. The thirty five member panel of esteemed litigators will address pressing developments and practical subjects relating to product liability litigation. A few of the topics of discussion will include: a comparison of auto litigation and mass torts; a discussion on consumer fraud litigation; an exploration of damages including pain and suffering; a dialogue about expert witnesses; an explanation of punitive damages and mass torts; a further examination of the settlement grid: lump sum, hybrid, limited funds; and a discussion of the trial in relation to class actions or individual claims.
Johnson, who manages New Jersey office operations for Lopez McHugh, was admitted to the state bar of New Jersey in 1994 and has enjoyed a long career that has included the successful representation of various clients against pharmaceutical manufacturers.
