Women across the country are wondering whether to hope for a Yaz settlement in 2012. Some clients have been involved in the Yaz litigation since 2009 and are ready for some (hopefully good) news. Although the initial Yaz trials were originally scheduled for the end of 2011, and were later rescheduled for January and February, 2012, delays keep moving the possibility of a Yaz settlement back.
All of that may be about to change, and a Yaz settlement may be on the horizon. While it is too soon to tell whether this move will be successful, on December 31, 2011, a Federal District Court judge ordered the Plaintiffs and Defendants to enter into mediation. To facilitate the process, the court appointed Professor Stephen Saltzburg of George Washington School of Law, Washington D.C.
If you or a loved one suffered a blood clot, pulmonary embolism, or stroke while on Yaz, Yasmin, or Beyaz, you may be running out of time to pursue recovery against the manufacturers of these drugs.
