DePuy Set to Pay $2.5 Billion for ASR Hip Implant Settlement

DePuy Orthopeadics, a subunit of Johnson & Johnson, will pay more than $2.5 billion to settle metal-on-metal hip implant lawsuits.

The settlement was announced in November 2013, and late last month the company waived its “walk-away rights” and will begin paying plaintiffs.
