takeda has offered a settlement amount for actos bladder cancer lawsuitsBloomberg reports that the Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda Pharmaceuticals has offered to pay $2.2 billion to resolve lawsuits claiming it hid bladder cancer risks associated with its diabetes drug Actos. If the settlement goes through, it will constitute one of the largest ever U.S. settlements over drug or device injury.
