Beyaz on list of libido-inhibiting drugs

AdverseEvents, Inc., has listed oral contraceptive Beyaz as one of the drugs most related to loss of libido.

Beyaz shares the list with drugs for prostate problems, anti-depressants, and even the hair loss medication Propecia.

AdverseEvents, Inc. – which collates information from the federal Food and Drug Administration Adverse Events Reporting System database – compiled a list of FDA approved medications most associated with causing brain-related side effects in recognition of Brain Awareness Week (March 12-18).

Other reported side effects from Beyaz include potentially deadly blood clots and stroke. A number of studies indicate that Beyaz and other oral contraceptives containing the synthetic hormone drospirenone are also problematic. They include Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella.

If you’ve suffered injury from taking any of those contraceptives, contact Lopez McHugh for a free consultation.
